Couples

Couples' work

  • Couple therapy is different from individual therapy. It involves you and your spouse doing the thing that you may be having trouble with-communicating. Even just selecting a counselor together requires a bit of teamwork. I see my role as a combination of consultant, cheerleader and eventually a 'third wheel.' Once your communication improves I will look forward to you and your partner going off to do much of the rest of the work yourselves, at home, with check ins with me available as needed.
